What is PRP therapy and how does it work?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is obtained from your own blood. It contains a concentration of cells called platelets which are vital in maximizing healing.

A blood draw is performed and then the blood is placed in a centrifuge. This process results in the separation of blood components including platelets. The highly concentrated PRP, which contains essential growth proteins, is then injected into the scalp or areas to be treated.
